Report: WWE nixed TLC angle on SmackDown due to Braun Strowman’s injury

Braun Strowman is engaged in a feud with Shinsuke Nakamura and many have been expecting these two to meet in a match at the TLC PPV.

However, WWE hasn’t announced a bout between these two stars so far and according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, there is a good reason behind this.

According to reports, WWE was expected to shoot an angle between the Monster Among Men and the current IC champion during last week’s episode of SmackDown but this was nixed because Strowman is currently injury.

Strowman also missed several live events this past weekend due to this injury and according to Meltzer, he is suffering from back spasms. Though the official word from WWE says that he has a sore hip.

Although he is expected to be back in action soon and if he is cleared to compete then it’s possible that the company will shoot the angle on this week’s episode of SmackDown, setting up the bout between these two stars.
