WWE React To Hulk Hogan ‘Racism’ At WrestleMania

It was previously announced that WWE Hall Of Famer Hulk Hogan will be the co-host for WrestleMania 37 this year. Titus O’Neil will be the other host for the Show of Shows. However, Titus O’Neil being the co-host was done for an interesting reason.

Back in 2015, Hulk Hogan was involved in a lawsuit against Gawker for publishing a sex tape that was recorded with a home surveillance camera without his prior knowledge. In the video, Hulk Hogan could be using a lot of racial slurs:

“I am a racist… f***ng n*****s. I mean, I’d rather if [Brooke Hogan] was going to f**k some *******, I’d rather have her marry an 8-foot-tall ****** worth a hundred million dollars!” “I guess we’re all a little racist. F*****g ******.”

Due to this, Hulk Hogan was removed from WWE entirely and there was not even a single mention of him for a few years. He was even a judge on Tough Enough at the time but was removed from the show.

Hogan later “apologized” to the WWE locker room for his hurtful words but most of the WWE Superstars did not find his apology to be genuine. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, here is the reason why O’Neil was placed alongside Hogan in the first place.

Hulk Hogan and Titus O’Neil were announced as co-hosts of WrestleMania. O’Neil was no doubt put in the position to counter any backlash on using Hogan in that spot this year.
