WWE Remove Two Ex-World Champions From WrestleMania

Randy Orton is a true veteran in the world of professional wrestling as he has worked in WWE for close to twenty years at this point. It seems he has a lot left in the tank and is more than determined to work in WWE for several more years. Triple H also recently approached for a replacement of Randy Orton.

For the few months, Randy Orton has been teaming up with Monday Night RAW Superstar Matt Riddle and together they have been known as Team RK-Bro and have been quite successful since their debut together. They even went on to become RAW Tag Team Champions after defeating AJ Styles and Omos at WWE SummerSlam back in August 2021.

They would eventually lose the titles to Alpha Academy earlier this year and since then they have been engaged in a feud with Chad Gable and Otis. They then won back the titles and even defended them at WrestleMania 38. They lost the titles to the Usos and Randy Orton was written off WWE television due to a back injury.

Despite some notable absences, WWE management is putting forth a full effort for WrestleMania 39. The speculation of The Rock’s return has been put to rest with Cody Rhodes winning the Royal Rumble and securing a main event match against The Tribal Chief at the Show of Shows.

While The Rock versus Roman Reigns match won’t happen this year in Los Angeles, the absence of former World Champions Randy Orton and AJ Styles may be a blessing in disguise. However, the status of Orton, who has been out due to back issues since May 2022, and Styles, who has been inactive since injuring his ankle in December 2022, for the Grandest Stage remains unclear. A recent report from The Wrestling Blog has sparked speculation about their potential appearance at SoFi Stadium in April.

Theres no current plans for AJ Styles, and Randy Orton for this year wrestlemania as of right now. This is due because of their injuries, there’s high hopes that both can return before wrestlemania but they are taking it day by day, to decide what to do.
