It’s been speculated that Rey Mysterio could be on his way out of WWE this summer. Following Money in the Bank, it was assumed he’d been written off of TV thanks to Baron Corbin launching him off the roof.
On a recent Patreon edition of Grilling JR, Jim Ross may have let it slip that the former WWE Champion signed another deal.
“I think he signed a new contract again with WWE, which is good at this stage of the game. He was a little different breed of cat. You can’t compare Rey Mysterio to all of the other cruiserweights because he was that much better and on a different level in my estimation.” (H/T to WrestlingNews for the transcription.
Dave Meltzer addressed Rey Mysterio’s status with the company as well in a tweet today.
Not sure if this is an issue, but Mysterio isn't going anywhere.
