Rumors: WWE scraps big WrestleMania angle involving multiple legends

The Rock

We noted before how there were rumors of the Rock being involved in a segment at WrestleMania 34 alongside the former NXT Star Elias.

Now Sports Illustrated is reporting that the company actually had a big angle planned for the show which would have included multiple WWE legends, including Jeff Jarrett.

However, the site claims that the segment has now been scrapped because the company couldn’t get a commitment from the Rock, who was expected to be the centerpiece of the angle.

The Great One himself was also asked about the Show Of Shows during a latest interview with Chris Van Vliet and he said that he won’t be attending the PPV:

“You will not see me there,”

Though it’s worth mentioning here that Sports Illustrated hasn’t proven to be a reliable source in recent times and the Rock could very well be lying to keep his appearance secret, so this report should be taken with a grain of salt.

  • Keith Learmonth

“You will not see me there” is wrestling talk for “There’s about 50-50 odds of me being there.”

  • Anutosh Bajpai

Neither of the stories were originated from this site. They come from various sources, our job is to report everything, it’s up to you to use your mind and distinguish the one you think is true

  • ROB-1.

Maybe cleared not to show up? Like Lesnar.

  • CC

Shhhh. Don’t you know there is a tactic that if you publish two stories with different outcomes, you can then claim you had the inside scoop when one proves true?

This totally contradicts an article on this site from 1 day before, claiming that the Rock was “cleared” for Wrestlemania…
