Sasha Banks & Bayley In-Ring

Sasha Banks music sounds as we enter the Performance Center. Michael Cole reviews the events at Extreme Rules where Banks believed she won the Women’s Title after Bayley put on the referee’s shirt and gave the three count, then bullied the timekeeper into ringing the bell. Cole then breaks down what took place at Monday’s Raw where Banks was informed she would be in a re-match this Friday for the title as she never actually won.

Banks starts, “Do you guys want to know the definition of greatness?” Banks and Bayley continue on showing us a literal definition of the word with their picture next to it. They don’t just talk the talk, they walk the walk. Bayley states the women’s revolution started with them, and it’ll end with them. They’re officially ushering in a new era of greatness, and all the kids at home that “look up to them” need to watch them and see that their dreams can come true, but no matter how hard they try, they’ll never be as great as they are. The two laugh maniacally.

Enter Nikki Cross and Alexa Bliss

Cross starts off, “You ruined my shot at the SmackDown Women’s Championship. You stole the Championship from Asuka!

“I’m going to start with you Bayley, because I want a shot at that championship, NOW!” Nikki shouts at Bayley. Bayley responds, “I won the match at Extreme Rules fair and square. You can have your title match, as long as she beats a worthy adversary. A former SmackDown champion, a future Hall of Famer, and her own best friend, Alexa Bliss, winner gets a title shot next week! against Alexa Bliss.

Nikki shoves Alexa shouting, “We have to!” and heads down the ramp. Alexa Bliss looks stunned as she sits on the stage at the top of the ramp from being shoved to the ground by her best friend and tag-team partner. We head to our first commercial break!

Firefly Fun House

Firefly Fun House’s intro plays and warps and distorts as we go to cartoon version of the swamp briefly before getting a recap of the SWAMP FIGHT from Extreme Rules.

Bray Wyatt is in the Fun House and tells us that sure was fun. Family reunions warm his soul, and Braun Strowman came back home. He knows some of us are worried that he’s trapped in the swamp forever now, but it’s okay, that swamp is 100% certified organic.

The lantern says some unintelligible stuff and Bray tells it he thinks it’s done for now and he can’t let him out again.

It’s his turn now, and he has been unleashed. We cut to footage of the Fiend for those of us who don’t get it, but Bray laughs it off and waves goodbye.

Video Clip

We head into a video clip highlighting the events that took place between Riddle and AJ Styles during their match from last week’s SmackDown.

Matt Riddle Entrance

“Brooooo…” Matt Riddle’s music sounds in the arena as Riddle makes his way to the top of the stage. We head to commercial break as Riddle makes his way down the ramp towards the ring.

After the Match

Riddle pics up the mic and says he’s kinda new here and doesn’t know how this works but he’s gonna give it a try, and he calls King Baron Corbin out.

Enter King Baron Corbin

He says Riddle doesn’t get to just call him out, he’s gotta put in a formal request for an audience, and that request will be rejected because he doesn’t belong in his kingdom. Corbin said that Riddle has a little bit of talent and a “new car smell,” but that fades and you’re left with a fratboy with no shoes who looks like he just rolled out of bed, and he doesn’t belong in SmackDown.

He told him to go back NXT, or go to 205 Live because he’ll be a top guy there. Then Corbin put out a King’s Ransom for anyone who can prove that Riddle doesn’t belong in his kingdom. Then Riddle said that Corbin is the next special guest on the Bro Show.

Tony Nese Sneak Attack

Nese attacks from behind and Riddle lays him out with a roundhouse kick!

Backstage – The Miz and John Morrison

Miz and John Morrison are backstage chatting about hashtags, with Morrison pitching ideas and Miz turning them down as we go to commercial break.

Miz TV

The Miz and John Morrison welcome us to Miz TV. They introduced their guest for the evening, Naomi, before talking about trends. She talked about last week’s loss and how #NaomiDeservesBetter trended on Twitter. She said it’s crazy to have that kind of support. It’s not easy to push herself in the ring, but she kept doing it.

They brought up how she went viral and how it doesn’t make any sense because she lost. Naomi said that they’re making her sick. They asked “how sick?” Then they gave themselves “five Seth Rollins’ pukes.”

Naomi said that she wasn’t trying to trend. Then she asked Miz what makes him think that he can dig at her and her fans. She said that’s why fans are behind her and want more for her. She got confrontational and Johnny Drip Drip said it’s about to get worse. Then Miz introduced Lacey Evans.

Lacey Evans Joins Miz TV

Lacey asked them if they’ve ever had their ass kicked so bad they became a hashtag. She said Naomi is washed up, and then she started to put on lipstick, but Naomi pushed her and it got lipstick all over her face. Lacey left all mad about her messed-up makeup.

Backstage – Kofi Kingston

We head backstage where we come upon Kofi Kingston who is standing with Big E. Kingston states that medical informed him he needs to be out of action for the next six weeks. Kingston then informs Big E that “it’s Big E time”.

All four superstars are in the ring as the match is officially announced. The bell rings and this Fatal Four-Way number one contenders match is officially underway! To start things off, there is an equally balanced match all the way up to the commercial. Shorty and Drew ganged up on Metalik, but Dorado saved him. Then Shorty and Gulak wrestled a bit as they tried to outmatch each other. Shorty fired some forearms off on Metalik and the Gulak wanted to get involved.

Styles sat on commentary and mocked Metalik’s name. Then Dorado hit a body block for a two count. He hit another cross body off the top rope this time on Gulak for a two count. Then he hit a stunner for a two count, but it was broken up.

Main Event – “Bar Fight” Match
Sheamus vs Jeff Hardy

We enter a bar where we see Sheamus come in first looking very ready for a fight with suspenders on. Sheamus took a shot and Jeff showed up. Hardy took a glass and told the referee that he’s just there for the three count.

Jeff said his brother had to delete his WWE career, but he’s here to recover it. Then Sheamus said Jeff is weak and pathetic and nobody cares about him. Jeff asked Sheamus if he’s still the bar. He is.

Hardy said he’s connected to everything now. He’s connected to the tv, everything including the bar. Sheamus said he’s the bar and Jeff is just a pathetic junkie.

Then Jeff Hardy tossed his beer in Sheamus face and they started brawling. Sheamus took control and slammed Hardy onto the bar. Then he dragged Hardy down the bar and knocked everything off of it. he beat Jeff up even more with clubbing blows to his exposed red chest.

Sheamus ordered a shot and Jeff hit a dive off the bar. Then they brawled down a hallway and Sheamus finally took advantage to drive Hardy off the walls and then he slammed a door on him several times. They moved to the bathroom and Sheamus stuck Hardy’s face in a urinal and flushed it.

Back inside the bar, Jeff Hardy slams the bartender through a table. Out of nowhere, Sheamus is back to his feet as he hits Hardy over the back with a chair, followed by placing a hat over Hardy’s face. Sheamus goes behind the bar and pours himself a drink, toasting Jeff and chugging it. “Referee get ready” Sheamus states. He removes the hat and Jeff Hardy’s eyes are glazed over and different colored as Hardy look possessed. Hardy knocks Sheamus to the ground. Hardy climbs to the top of the ladder, hitting a Swanton Bomb onto Sheamus. The referee counts to three and Hardy is the victor!

Winner: Jeff Hardy

After the Match

Hardy covers Sheamus’ face with the hat. Hardy closes and re-opens his eyes and they are back to normal. Hardy limps out of the bar as Sheamus stays on the floor of the bar. The show ends.
