Since AEW’s debut to the world of professional wrestling back in 2019, fans have been wondering who will leave WWE for the rival promotion. AEW has seen it’s share of notable defectors in the past from Jon Moxley [The former Dean Ambrose], Miro [The former Rusev]. Chris Jericho, along a host of others. This is why it was very head-turning when a AEW fan recently took to social media via Twitter to share former WWE United States Champion and current WWE Smackdown star Shinsuke Nakamura appearing to hang out with Yuji Nagata at a nearby hotel used by AEW stars on the heels of Nagata’s IWGP United States Championship match against it’s current holder – Jon Moxley.
While this was more than likely just a photo op and show of respect to Nagata for being an influence to Nakamura, it’s always interesting to see competitors of two rival promotions chatting it up. You can view the photo below.
In other news regarding Shinsuke Nakamura, the former WWE Men’s Royal Rumble winner recently touched upon his future in the company not too long ago by answering a fan who claimed that Nakamura was ‘happy’ in WWE on Instagram. ‘Shin’ would respond to the fan by proclaiming: “Who said that I am happy [in WWE[? Don’t believe anything other than what I said.”
