WWE Star Quit Due To Sad Brock Lesnar Match

Several fans would simply agree that Brock Lesnar is one of the most dominant pro wrestlers to have ever stepped foot inside the squared circle. He had two terrific runs in WWE, both of which saw him winning major World Titles and being a huge draw for fans. Brock Lesnar was not seen on WWE television ever since he dropped the WWE Championship to Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 36 back in 2020. Brock Lesnar was also previously called out by a Superstar from Monday Night RAW.

After being away from WWE television for over a year, Brock Lesnar made his return at WWE SummerSlam in 2021, immediately setting his sights set on Roman Reigns. He also sported a ponytail, which was completely different from what fans were used to seeing him in.

Lesnar won the WWE Championship after defeating Big E, Kevin Owens, Seth Rollins, and Bobby Lashley in a Fatal Five-Way match at WWE Day 1. However, he would lose the title to Bobby Lashley after Roman Reigns interfered in the match thanks to Paul Heyman turning on The Beast Incarnate. After a hiatus, Lesnar came back and attacked Roman Reigns again.

He challenged Roman Reigns for his titles at WWE SummerSlam. It featured The Beast Incarnate using a tractor to destroy the ring as well.

Brock Lesnar infamously defeated Kofi Kingston on the October 2019 debut of Smackdown on Fox for the WWE title in mere seconds, angering many fans. Road Dogg spoke on Sportskeeda’s “The Wrestling Outlaws” show about the possible reason why then-WWE Chairman Vince McMahon booked such a short match.

“I think it probably was FOX, Brock Lesnar, cross appeal,” James said. “He’s a [big] name and Vince loves him, and Vince is drawing with him, and so tried and true, ‘Hey, let’s shock the world, send him out there, and kill him in a minute. Blah, blah, blah.’ I can hear him saying it now. It is what it is. Maybe Big E would have given a better battle.

“That’s one reason I walked away,” James said. “It was one reason. There were several. That creative decision was one of them.”

I do think there’s something to that, especially if you’re talking about the lay person,” James continued. “If you’re talking about the black t-shirt wearing guy that tunes into AEW, he doesn’t care, but real people go, ‘That dude? I’d kill that guy.
