WWE Stars ‘Walking Out’ After Saudi Sale

Sean Ross Sapp said on a Fightful podcast that WWE wrestlers are “really really mad” and “really frustrated” about the news that WWE will likely be sold to Saudi Arabia.

He said “100%, yes” when asked if employees and talent will walk out on WWE if/when this is official.

WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker’s wife and former WWE star Michelle McCool is seemingly eyeing for a WWE return. The reigning WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair is certainly one of the top stars of the company. Fans had been missing her for a long time. She finally made her return to SmackDown and challenged Ronda Rousey for the title. Ronda Rousey lost her title to Charlotte on SmackDown, and botched a promo beforehand, wondering if Charlotte wanted a match at SummerSlam, then correcting herself and stating the Royal Rumble.

Rousey had successfully defended her title against Raquel Rodriguez but ‘The Queen’ made her return and dethroned Rousey. WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair also revealed the reason for Charlotte’s hiatus. It has been noted on WWE’s The Bump, ‘The Queen’ named Michelle McCool in the list of her dream opponents alongside Mickie James and Lita.

Charlotte Flair had been away from WWE programming since she lost the SmackDown Women’s Championship to Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania Backlash in May this year.  After that match in Providence, R,I., WWE wrote Flair off television by claiming she had suffered a fractured radius. In reality, Flair was scheduled to take time away from WWE to marry AEW star, Andrade El Idolo in Mexico. The pair tied the knot at the end of May after becoming engaged in January 2020.
