WWE Sudden Firing Revealed After SmackDown

Sid Scala is no longer with WWE as his time comes to an end as per a recent report. It is noted that since the launch of WWE’s NXT U.K. brand, Sid Scala had been part of the roster. He went on to shift to the role of on-screen Assistant General Manager to Johnny Saint.

In a recent report by PWInsider, Scala’s time with WWE came to an end when he was released from the company this past week. In addition to his on-screen role, Scala worked as a coach and producer. He has not wrestled since May 2023. Under the NXT U.K. brand, Scala last wrestled in the fall of 2019.

NXT UK shut its doors in September 2022 and Scala was retained by WWE up until some time this past week when he was let go. Scala joined WWE NXT UK in December 2018, competing in a handful of matches against JD McDonagh and Kassius Ohno.He is perhaps better known however for his role as assistant to NXT UK GM Johnny Saint. As well as an on-screen figure Scala had also worked as a producer and coach behind the scenes.

Well, this is not the only WWE departure over the past week. It is noted that former EVP of Talent Dan Ventrelle, Senior Vice President of Athlete ID & Development Trent Wilfinger and WWE longest tenured employee Sue Aitchison are all being let go this week.
