Ronda Rousey was not seen on WWE television since WrestleMania 35 back in 2019, where she dropped the RAW Women’s Title to Becky Lynch in a triple threat match which also had Charlotte Flair in the mix. Ronda Rousey also showed her backside in a photo with Becky Lynch previously as well.
Since then fans simply did not know whether the Rowdy One would ever return to WWE as they had lost all hope. However, their hope bore fruit in the end.
Rousey, who made her shocking and surprise return to the WWE at the 2022 WWE Royal Rumble premium live event earned herself a shot at a WWE Women’s Championship match against the champion of her choosing at WWE WrestleMania 38. WWE WrestleMania 38 will be held this year at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas from April 2-3.
The former RAW Women’s Champion ended up choosing Charlotte Flair as her opponent. Ronda Rousey is also going to appear in quite a few WWE live events going forward, all before WrestleMania 38 in April. Ronda Rousey recently spoke during a stream on Facebook, where she talked about her upcoming schedule. Rousey admitted WWE’s grueling schedule traveling on planes gets to her but she manages to go through with it in the end.
“I’m doing SmackDown this Friday and then I’m doing a live show, I think there’s one in Rochester and one in like Ohio, right? I think like the actual SmackDown is in Pennsylvania. It’s something like Pennsylvania, Ohio, I’m gonna do three shows in a row. I don’t have a match on SmackDown but I’ll be doing a match the next two nights in — on the live shows and then the next week, after SmackDown, I’m doing two live shows.
I’m doing M.S.G. in New York and then I’m going to Montreal. So, in the next two weeks, I’ll be having a bunch of matches. Ask me again then. I think it’s more of like the repetition of doing a bunch of matches in a row that’ll get to you, start to be sore, and the travel. Just constantly being able to sit upright but, we’re lucky enough where we get to travel on a bus so, I’ll be able to like to lay down and not have to jump on a car or a train after wrestling which helps.”
