The former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks might be involved in a controversy but she is having a great time with her close ones.
Sasha Banks was spotted with Bayley
Banks was spotted hanging out with Bayley at a concert. Both the Horsewomen seemed to be enjoying themselves as they attended the State Champs band’s concert, in Orlando, Florida. The band posted a photo of Banks and Bayley alongside their group who all looked to be close to one another.
Sasha Banks and Naomi had walked out of Monday Night RAW due to creative differences. There have been various sides to the story already reported, including that the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions confronted WWE Chairman Vince McMahon over their issue. WWE left that part out of their official narrative, but Banks and Naomi did have words with the boss. In the official statement from the company, it was noted that Sasha Banks and Naomi dropped their tag titles on the desk of John Laurinaitis and left the building.
Sasha Banks was released as per the WrestlingInc and Raj Giri. New reports have emerged that noted her presence on the WWE’s internal roster. WrestleVotes stated that Sasha Banks has indeed been released from her WWE contract. However, PWInsider noted that she is seemingly with WWE. WWE doesn’t care anymore about Sasha Banks walkout. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the backstage opinion of the whole Banks situation had changed. It was noted on Wednesday, that Banks was announced for next month’s C2E2 convention in Chicago.
WWE is yet to officially confirm her release and there are conflicting reports on her status. While there were reports saying that she was released weeks ago, other reports state that although she’s no longer on the internal roster, she still has not been released from her contract.
It remains unclear if her decision not to accept wrestling bookings this year is a personal preference or because of what was agreed on by both parties. Nothing is confirmed unless one party speaks on the situation. However, there is a possibility that the terms of her release stated that she would not be able to wrestle or work for any wrestling-related company until January. She was also recently edited out from a video package that WWE recently released.
