WWE Hall Of Famer Goldberg returned to WWE in 2016 after a hiatus of more than 12 years from the company. He decimated Brock Lesnar in a squash match at Survivor 2016 and then win the Universal Championship against Kevin Owens in 2017. He defended his title against Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 33 in one of the show’s main events.  As revealed by his contract, Vince McMahon can only have him compete in one more match every year, so it needs to be meaningful. It was rumored to be the last match of his contract, so it may be his retirement match. Goldberg was also previously diagnosed with a bad illness as well.

He had two matches against Bobby Lashley at WWE SummerSlam and then WWE Crown Jewel on October 21st, 2021 in Saudi Arabia respectively. Goldberg beat Lashley in the second match. Since then, the WWE Hall Of Famer has been absent from WWE television.

Goldberg squared off against Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship at the WWE Elimination Chamber event in Saudi Arabia on February 19th. The Tribal Chief ended up winning the match as well.

In June 2003, Goldberg accepted Theodor Long’s 5-Minute White Boy Challenge on Monday Night RAW where he squashed Rodney Mack, who was undefeated at that time, in only 26 seconds.

During a recent interview with the Cafe de Rene podcast, Mack revealed that Bill Goldberg didn’t want to do the squash match.

“I got a chance to work Bill a few times and Bill was actually a cool cat man. The one match that everybody saw when he dropped me out in 10 seconds, he actually didn’t wanna do that match. He actually told me, he’s like, Rodney, don’t do it.’ And I’m like, ‘what?! What do you mean? What am I gonna do?’ And I do it. It’s like yeah but he always stuck up for me the whole time we were out there. I did have a chance to work him on house shows. Not have a match with him but run-ins with him and whatnot and it always was good. Bill was always pretty cool,” he said.
