AJ Mendez (AJ Lee in WWE) has been away from the squared circle since 2015 when he departed WWE. It has been noted that she won’t be wrestling for WOW Women of Wrestling she would have a different role for the show. She would serve as an executive producer for the revamped series. She has projects going outside of the pro wrestling world as well. There is a new report that a televised WWE competitor is interested in AJ after her WOW deal for an on air role. AJ Lee talks about her potential return to the ring
While speaking to the WOW Superheroes YouTube channel, AJ Lee told Izzy that she could make a return to pro wrestling, but right now she is really enjoying the current generation of performers in the ring.
“I will say, I say the same thing in every interview, and it’s always ‘never say never, but don’t hold your breath.’ What I mean by that is, I never say never to anything; physically, mentally, emotionally, I’m healed from everything I’ve gone through in wrestling. I could technically do it, but I’m so enjoying letting the next generation have their spotlight. I got to do everything I wanted to do. So, it really would have to be, is that challenge there? I don’t think the girls need me there. I think that they are going to take over the world all by themselves.”
We’ll have to see what’s next for AJ Lee and she might make her huge return just like her husband, CM Punk, did when he signed with AEW recently.
