Brock Lesnar reportedly a free agent; WWE removes name from websites

Former WWE Champion Brock lesnar is a free agent now, according to a report by PWInsider. His last contract with WWE has expired and neither parties has initiated a new deal as of yet.

Earlier today, WWE had removed all of Brock Lesnar’s merchandise from the online stores of the company, WWE Shop and WWE Euroshop. WWE also deleted the Superstar’s pages from the two websites.

Current status of Brock Lesnar

WWE and Lesnar were reportedly working on a new deal when his previous contract lapsed. But that conversation has currently hit a dead end and discussions have been paused. That leaves Lesnar presently in the open market.

Rumors of him switching sides to Tony Khan’s AEW has already started taking rounds.

Lesnar might also consider other options like going back to his former employer UFC or their arch rival Bellator, or literally any number of sports/entertainment bodies willing to pay the price.

The Beast Incarnate last appeared on television at WrestleMania 36 back in April, where he lost the WWE Championship to Drew McIntyre. This has been his longest break from the screen. Usually he would take some time off following WrestleMania and return by the time SummerSlam happened. But this year that has not happened because of the pandemic.

Meanwhile, Lesnar’s long-time on-screen advocate Paul Heyman has recently joined forces with Roman Reigns after the Big Dog’s return to TV on WWE SummerSlam.

Despite the removal of his merchandise, Brock Lesnar is still listed as an active Superstar of the WWE RAW roster on the company’s website.
