Professional wrestling legend Rocky Johnson passed away at the age of 75 this week. Fans and wrestlers alike mourned his passing and celebrated his legacy. It was previously reported that Johnson was suffering from illness prior to his passing. Now the reason behind his passing has come to light.
According to a report by The Tampa Bay Times, Brian Blair said that Johnson passed away owing to a blood clot. Here is what he said:
“A blood clot traveled from his leg into his lung. He died of natural causes.”
Blair mentioned he and Rocky Johnson went to church every week. However, Johnson was unable to go to church for the last two weeks. He died in his home in Lutz, Florida.
The Rock, Johnson’s son, also paid tribute to his father on Instagram recently.
