Chris Jericho Returning For Huge WWE PPV?

Chris Jericho is a master of negotiating and getting what he wants. Who could blame the master of 1004 holds for getting what he wants? Jericho has helped to make the attitude era a memorable era drenched in Y2J and is currently helping AEW to become a household name. It looks like we have a good look at Jericho’s current contract within AEW.

Dave Meltzer posted on F4WOnline.com forums, “Jericho has an option year after this one from AEW, so essentially he’s free I think end of 2022, not end of 2021. So next year is the contract year.” Chris Jericho WWE Return Texts To Vince McMahon Leak.

Now, this news is quite a bit odd since we now know that Y2J will be on Stone Cold’s upcoming episode of Broken Skull Sessions via WWE. The big question is will Chris Jericho choose to jump back to WWE? Why is WWE getting so close to Jericho and AEW by bringing Jericho together with Austin?

These are all questions I can’t answer or even want to try at for fear of being wrong. The circumstances are odd and we will have to watch closely to see where this goes. Jericho didn’t leave on the best note with Vince, but money talks and bull walks.

Jericho would be eligible for a WrestleMania 39 return in Los Angeles in 2023. Dave Meltzer also said he expects Vince McMahon to get in a bidding war with Tony Khan, “When his deal is up which I believe is at the end of 2022, so it’s a ways away, but when it’s up, of course he should play both sides against the other. That’s what he should do. Some people think that’s a bad thing, but I think that’s a good thing and see what the market brings.”
