Drew McIntyre ‘Refuses’ To Main Event WrestleMania

Will Drew McIntyre not be in the main event of WrestleMania 37? If it were completely up to him, that would be A’OK. During a recent edition of The Wrestling Show podcast, noted professional wrestling insider Billi Bhatti told the host of the show a conversation he had with ‘The Scottish Warrior’ where McIntyre stated to Bhatti that he would, indeed, like to not close WrestleMania but rather open the show and compete in the first match. Triple H ‘demanded’ this Drew McIntyre loss.

McIntyre: Interesting conversation that I had this week. I was talking to Drew McIntyre and I was saying that some people are saying that the women are going to go on last, they’ve been promised it for a while. Drew then says that he ‘wants to go on first’ and ‘would rather go on first’. He stated that he wants to be the first person out there when the crowd is back. To me, that is the main event spot on the show on Saturday.

WrestleMania 37 is is scheduled to take place as a two-night event on April 10 and 11, 2021 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. Drew McIntyre is slated to take on ‘The Almighty’ Bobby Lashley for the WWE Championship during night one of the event.
