Jon Moxley Returning To Face TNA Legend

Former WWE Superstar and current AEW star Jon Moxley is without a shadow of a doubt, one of the most popular pro wrestlers in the world right now. He is also a former AEW World Champion and IWGP United States Champion. Mark Henry had leaked a Vince McMahon AEW phone call.

Jon Moxley was a mainstay of WWE television since signing with the company over a decade ago and from 2012 to 2019, he had a tremendous career in the company, winning multiple championships along the way. He parted ways with WWE back in 2019 and went on to sign with AEW, where he has had a great run so far.

Last year, Jon Moxley entered into an alcohol rehabilitation program after finally realizing he needs proper help to conquer his demons. The former AEW World Champion received a lot of support from friends, family and fans alike.

TNA legend Homicide won the Do or Die Rumble at GCW Die 4 and earned the opportunity to challenge Jon Moxley for his GCW World Championship. It was then announced that Jon Moxley will be making his return to the pro wrestling ring after over three months at the Hammerstein Ballroom on January 23. He is scheduled to defend his title against Homicide at the event.

Jon Moxley had a TNA tryout match in 2009, though he did not end up getting the job. This was just before Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff entered TNA, changing the direction of the company. Moxley then signed with WWE and became Dean Ambrose, rising through the new NXT and eventually debuting on the WWE main roster as The Shield with Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns, later becoming world champion in 2016. Moxley departed WWE in 2019, going on to become one of AEW’s main stars, and having a lengthy world title run after defeating Chris Jericho.
