Lita talks about taking out male WWE Superstars

WWE Hall Of Famer Lita is a pioneer for women’s wrestling in WWE and a true trailblazer who laid the foundation for the women’s revolution in the company.

She recently spoke to Alicia Atout about her upcoming wrestling project. She also talked about her time as a female WWE Superstar who would take out male Superstars.

She said she apologized to the wrestlers before taking them out. She especially mentioned Dean Malenko, to whom she said: “I’m sorry.” This also included Test and Albert.

“No, I knew it was ballsy and kind of a role that women weren’t given before. I think I preemptively tiptoed and thanked and apologized in advance for any man that I was having to work with, that I was having to bump for me or make me – prop me up like that superhero that I got to portray and I do hope that it was perceived. It was delicate to balance. I didn’t make up that, the whole office would be like ‘Okay, this is what you are doing today, kicking that person’s ass.’ I’d be like, ‘Sorry, it’s Dean Malenko of all your great matches.’ You know, I remember Prince Albert and Test, and they have me taking these people down.”

Lita will always be remembered for her contributions to women’s wrestling with her in-ring prowess and feuds with the likes of Trish Stratus.
