A few WWE superstars recently wanted to leave WWE and requested their release from the company and this included Mike Kanellis and Maria Kanellis. Maria spoke on this matter on Twitter.
Mike Kanellis and Maria Kanellis requested their release from WWE which was reported by Pro Wrestling Sheet. This news broke sometime after it was reported that The Revival also asked for their release. However, it should be noted that simply because they asked for a release, does not mean WWE will grant it to them.
Maria expressed her delight on being a downloadable character in WWE 2K19. One fan then asked why she was so happy if she requested her release. Here is what Maria said:

Maria also spoke regarding information that Mike had taken time off to go to rehab.
