Possibility of Kenny Omega & Jon Moxley having another harcore match

At AEW Full Gear, Jon Moxley faced off against Kenny Omega in a lights out match, where the results did not count for the win/loss record. The two battered each other and it was a very bloody match. Ultimately, Moxley came out on top. However, Omega certainly has not forgotten about it.

On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about a portion of Being The Elite, where it implied there would be a rematch between Moxley and Omega in a hardcore match. He said that there is a possibility we will get to see the match as Omega is obsessed with beating Moxley according to the story.  However, he wants to beat Moxley at his own game.

It is unknown when that kind of match will take place, if at all, as AEW is not going to focus on such matches for a long time. We will get to know in due time.

    This is true

Harrison can’t be bothered to proof read his own writings. What makes you think he’ll read anyone’s comment?

Had you grown up watching & going to ECW live shows, you might think differently!

Also to ” “Harrison” ” your final paragraph is total bs, theres no proof the lights out matches won’t continue.

I have never liked so-called “Hardcore Wrestling”, and that is absolutely the worst thing ECW ever contributed to the business, was popularizing it here. I’m a pretty open guy, but I would 100% be willing to say that s*** like thumb tacks, and barbed wire, and glass, and fire, etc., have no place in pro wrestling.

Seeing people pretend to be each other up is one thing. Seeing people literally mutilate themselves/each other is a whole other beast, and it’s kinda sick that some are entertained by that.

Perhaps years afterwards you could say it was then an Undertaker/HHH match. HHH didn’t wrestle until the 6th HIAC match however. And Undertaker had already lost to HBK just a few months earlier in the HIAC debut so it’s too hard to believe that he wouldn’t lose in this type of match.

If you view HIAC as a Mankind specialty match, you have a valid point. When I think of HIAC, I think of Triple H and Taker. They are who I expect to win in those kinds of matches.

Taker threw mick off the cell and won, so why not? As long as it isn’t a burial, both men came out on top looking good after their last match. A loss can still result in getting over.

Omega should never beat Moxley in a hardcore match. Straight up wrestling match? That’s fine. But you don’t get to go to hell and throw the devil off his thrown. That don’t work.
