We noted before how WWE announced that the former NXT Champion Samoa Joe suffered an injury during this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw.
Now the company has announced that The Miz will be replacing Joe in the upcoming events, including the March 11th Live Event from Madison Square Garden where he was expected to face John Cena and Roman Reigns in a triple threat match.
The news of him being injured was originally broken by Raw General Manager Kurt Angle. He announced it via a tweet while also revealing that Elias will replace Joe in the upcoming Mixed Match challenge web series.
However, a lot of fans still believe that Samoa Joe’s injury is a work as the former Champion showed no signs of being hurt after his match at Raw.
No word yet on how long he will be out of action but it’s believed that he can stay away from ring from somewhere between two to eight weeks.
