Former WWE Champion Sheamus took to social media via Twitter to vent his frustrations on the way the 2021 edition of the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view event panned out. Sheamus eliminated Kofi Kingston during the Raw Elimination Chamber match while eventually being eliminated by AJ Styles. It should be noted that Sheamus earned the right to enter last during this match. Sheamus recently revealed his major heat with Shane McMahon
However, his frustation was centered toward the fact that he had to fight in a multi-man match such as the Elimination Chamber despite beating now-former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre clean as Sheamus tweeted the following out after the event was done. “…beat the Scotsman clean. THIS is why the brass put 4 others in my way.”
In other news regarding the Celtic Warrior, Sheamus spoke in high regard of another Elimination Chamber participant as well as his former tag team partner – Cesaro. Speaking to BT Sports (H/T to WrestlingHeadlines for the transcription), he said:
I’ve been Cesaro’s biggest fan since we were together in the Bar. We did so much in that tag team. Four or five time WWE tag team champs. I can’t even remember how many we won because I’ve lost count. I been telling people for years about Cesaro. Cesaro will become a world champion, and he’s got the perfect opportunity. He has been on a role, but that’s because the reigns are off. The shackles are off. Now he’s able to do his stuff, he’s able to do what he wants to do and he’s a very exciting dude to watch. The stuff he can do is unbelievable. As a bad guy maybe…I don’t think that’s the right fit. He’s just too talented. He has too much artillery in his move-sets to be someone who can’t be liked and cheered and admired for what he can do in there. Sheamus took a jab at this newly crowned champion not too long ago.
