Triple H Insulted By Controversial Star Before Firing

Vince McMahon has been WWE Chairman since 1982 when he bought WWE from his father Vince Sr and his partners. McMahon saw quite a few changes in his company over the last few decades on top of that. All through that, the WWE Chairman continued to adapt to the changing times. However, many fans now feel that he is out of touch and simply has no idea what is good for a WWE Superstar and their growth. The WWE Chairman is larger than life in many ways and he also has his own oddities and problems as well. He also threatened a WWE star in a recent gym video

Triple H signed with WWE in 1995 after a short run in WCW. He won his first WWE Championship in 1999 and became one of the biggest stars in the company’s history. He is now the COO of WWE and handles everything that goes on in NXT.

Russo, a former member of WWE’s creative team alongside Cornette, talked about how Jim Cornette once told Vince McMahon that would have a hard time drawing money in pro wrestling.

“I remember Jim Cornette sitting at Vince McMahon’s living room table saying… his exact quote was, ‘Triple H will never draw a dime in this business.’ Jim Cornette’s exact quote. I differed, bro. I thought not only was there a lot of potential in Triple H, not only was he a great athlete, he was such a student of the game.”
