Billi Bhatti: “Rey Fenix is the guy. He’s the next Rey Mysterio. Triple H is 100% keen on him. He’s keen enough to bring him into NXT. He’s keen enough to make him champion. They think that this is a Mexican superstar. That’s the thing. That’s the thing that they are so keen on.”
Bhatti continues on: “This is why Damian Priest is getting a push with Bad Bunny. They’re desperate to hit this Latino crowd. It’s very very important to get this Latino fanbase. Bruce (Prichard) feels that this is a void that they need to fulfill.”
Bhatti: “They tried it previously. Alberto Del Rio was immediately pushed. Andrade obviously had the problem of not speaking any English. Rey Fenix, I think seems like a guy who can come in sell masks, be Rey Mysterio. Do what Sin Cara didn’t do. They also think he’s the best worker that’s out there that’s available.”
