Undisputed Era Not Happy With NXT Takeover Snub

Kyle O’Reilly tweeted that he was not happy with Undisputed Era being completely left off of the NXT Takeover: Vengeance Day card, but that he was still excited to watch the show. Undisputed Era did come out at the end of the show, but they didn’t wrestle.

 


 

He tweeted, “Stoked to sit down and watch NXT Takeover: Vengeance Day as a fan of the sport and business. Yes, it sucks the UE isn’t involved tonight but I’m eager to enjoy the show and I hope you will too.”

Many fans were disappointed to not see O’Reilly, Adam Cole, Roderick Strong, and Bobby Fish not wrestle on the card. Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez defeated Ember Moon and Shotzi Blackheart to win the womens Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic to kick off the show, with William Regal congratulating them. Johnny Gargano successfully defended his NXT North American Title against Kushida in a great match. Dexter Lumis abducted Austin Theory before the match.

MSK defeated the Grizzled Young Veterans to win the mens Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. A rap video aired on Cameron Grimes getting rich, which is both a shoot and storyline after his recent good stock investments. lo Shirai beat Toni Storm and Mercedes Martinez to retain the NXT Womens Title. Eli Drake was then shown signing his WWE NXT contract backstage after his preshow debut, which Nick Aldis has just reacted to. Finn Balor defeated Pete Dunne, with Undisputed Era saving him from a beatdown at the end of the show. Adam Cole though superkicked Balor, and then Kyle O’Reilly.
