Vince McMahon and Bruce Prichard have ‘given up’ on the Murphy and Rey Mysterio’s daughter Aliyah romance storyline. Vince wanted to ‘pull’ Sasha Banks from Smackdown.
On Smackdown on Friday, Murphy offered to help Seth Rollins regarding his problems with Cesaro. Murphy then tapped out to Cesaro in a match with Rollins on commentary, with no reference to Aliyah, despite Rey and Dominik Mysterio having just been on the show with Dominik wrestling Chad Gable.
Marcus Yates tweeted, “Ok. Murphy! We have a use for you! Get back with Seth Rollins!
But didnt I spend most of 2020 to end up breaking off with him? Yeah, but the audience probably forgot! Go on out there! #SmackDown.”
Joel tweeted, “That’s very unfortunate really Murphy was on a role beating Seth Rollins in there rivalry and now he comes back and taps out to cesaro unbelievable #smackdown.”
Martrion tweeted, “Did Aliyah break up with Murphy cuz why is he trying to go back to Rollins?”
Michael Ward said, “What was the point of him helping the Mysterios against Rollins, if Murphy is just gonna join Seth again?? Just be consistent, and have some continuity.”
Toru Yanu Fan Account wrote, “I love that for no apparent reason they gave up on the Murphy/Mysterio story when he FINALLY was welcomed into the Mysterio family and got Reys blessing to date his daughter.
Now they’re just pivoting right back to putting him with Rollins as if nothing happened its great.” A Rey Mysterio ‘replacement’ in WWE was just revealed.
