In what has been an eventful edition of WWE NXT, Finn Balor made his highly anticipated return back to the gold brand by brawling with Karrion Kross. However, the other major story out of this development is the fact that various wrestling outlets and several members of the WWE universe made quite the comparison on Kross, comparing his cadence and mannerisms to former WWE Universal Champion, the man called Goldberg. Kross would win the WWE NXT Championship for his second time after defeating ‘The Prince’ Finn Balor during night two of the highly acclaimed NXT event known as NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver, back in April. In a related event, it was recently revealed that Goldberg was ‘ripped off’ by this top Raw star.
On the outlet, the official Twitter for Ringside News stated: “Anyone else hearing a lot of the “Goldberg” voice in Kross’ promo this week?” While Wrestling Inc proclaimed: “Kross is almost reminiscent of a mix of Batista and Nathan Jones. With some Goldberg on top. That’s a potent combo to say the least.”
It should be noted that the likes of Goldberg and Batista weren’t particularly known for the stellar promos, so who knows if these comparisons are supposed to be complimentary or not, however needless to say that current WWE NXT Champion would be in well-known company.
