According to PW Insider, Keith Lee, who has been up until this point scheduled to take on Riddle and current WWE United States Champion Bobby Lashley in a triple threat title match will no longer be participating in that match and will be taken off tonight’s show. The belief is that Lee has been taken off due to injury as the outlet reported: “The belief among those we have spoken with is that there is indeed some sort of injury, but what that may be is not yet confirmed.” This reason for Vince McMahon burying Keith Lee was recently leaked.
In other news revolving around Keith Lee, during a recent interview with TV Insider current Hurt Business member and WWE United States Champion Bobby Lashley stated that he would like to see Lee in his highly acclaimed Hurt Business stable and said that he ‘sees himself’ in the former NXT Champion. He told the outlet the following.
“Now that you say that, I kind of do. When I first came in, I was a major player. Then I hovered. At certain times I faced John Cena, Booker T and JBL, but I never broke through to get that world title.
Lashley continued: “Keith has earned respect from a lot of people. He has been going out there and doing everything he has to do. I think he’s the kind of person who might need a little Hurt Business in his life to take him to that next level. He is ready to breakout, as are others.” Keith Lee just unloaded on WWE fans before missing Raw.
