This week’s edition of AEW Dynamite has been thrilling to say the least. From former AEW Champion Chris Jericho talking about a death threat, to the appearance of the Young Bucks, who have been making news recently due to the predicament involving former WWE superstar, Chelsea Green. During this edition of All Elite Wrestling’s flagship show, the Bucks made their entrance it was noted by several wrestling fans that the duo were wearing gear clearly at best, inspired by mid 1990s era Shawn Michaels. On Twitter one user named Vinnie Massaro stated: “I love the Young Bucks now wrestling as 2 different eras of Shawn Michaels. Nick doing the sexy boy Shawn and Matt doing the annoying DX version”. While Vic Neumann proclaimed: “The Young Bucks are like The Rockers, but with two Marty Jannettys who both think they’re Shawn Michaels.”
In other news regarding Shawn Michaels, current WWE Raw Tag Team Champion AJ Styles discussed the comparison between him and his bodyguard Omos to Michaels and his bodyguard Diesel as a tag team during a recent edition of ‘The Bump’. “If we’re gonna compare, I think that’s a pretty good comparison. Is it the exact? No, no, no. Listen, we’re so much more than Kevin Nash and Shawn Michaels were. We’re more than that. We are the RAW Tag Team Champions, sky is the limit. Whatever championship we want, we will get.”
