Christian Cage made his return to WWE during the Royal Rumble pay-per-view but was never seen on WWE television since then. In the end, he decided to sign a contract with AEW and made his debut at AEW Revolution. He also made appearances on AEW Dynamite and set his sights set on AEW World Champion Kenny Omega. A Christian Cage figure would have upset a female AEW star as well.
Many people were dejected at Christian Cage being revealed as the Hall of Fame worthy” signing at Revolution. Many fans thought it would be someone like CM Punk or Brock Lesnar, but that was not the case. However, Christian Cage certainly has been doing quite well for himself in AEW since his signing back in March.
The 2-time World Champion made history as a tag team wrestler in WWE but it seems his sense of humor backstage in the company might have gotten under the skin of other people. Pro wrestling legend Dr. Tom Prichard talked about Christian Cage during his developmental days in WWE as he spoke on the Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling podcast.
Tom Prichard revealed that many of his peers believed that he was being a “d***head.” However, Prichard then defended Christian Cage as he said the following:
”You can say something and be mispercieved or misunderstood,” said Prichard. “It’s not uncommon. So yeah, he could be perceived as a d***head sometimes, but who couldn’t?”
