Mandy Rose reveals her next step in WWE after SummerSlam win

Mandy Rose defeated friend-turned-rival Sonya Deville at WWE SummerSlam in a No Disqualification match on Sunday.

The fight, which was originally going to be a Hair vs. Hair match, was later turned into a Loser Leaves WWE match. The decision came in the wake of Sonya’s encounter with a stalker at her Hillsborough County home.

In the latest episode of WWE’s The Bump, Mandy appeared as a guest to talk about her win and what plans she has next.

Mandy Rose feels no remorse for Sonya Deville

Mandy and Sonya had been friends and sisters-in-arms before. But the current segment saw them turn into each other’s arch rival. Mandy revealed what was going on her mind before their SummerSlam match at WWE ThunderDome.

“I just felt like it was a new Mandy and I was just going in, and I had one goal, and that was to finally to an end to Sonya Deville.” H/T Wrestle Zone

When asked if she felt bad about ending Sonya’s career at WWE, Mandy said that she had it coming.

“There’s really no remorse. I think I showed, I showed some remorse prior to the match. And I think I felt, you know, like I’m gonna be the bigger person, let me give her another shot. She didn’t want to take it, so then I was like, ‘Okay, well now you’re gonna have to deal with this.’ And to be honest, she should have thought it more thoroughly through, clearly. Because now she’s without a job.”

With Sonya gone, Mandy said she can now focus on herself, her career, and her next goal.

The Golden Goddess on her next step

Talking about her future in WWE, Mandy said that she is now ready to move a step up and go after something bigger. She is eyeing the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship title, which is currently held by Bayley.

The Golden Goddess also spoke on her chances of joining the WWE Women’s Tag Team Division.

“Yeah, honestly I’m not gonna say no in the future for you know, being in a Tag Team obviously, but for now I really want to focus on a singles career.” H/T Sportskeeda

Sonya’s departure from WWE brings an end to their onscreen feud. It is going to help Mandy to rise up the ranks on SmackDown.

It will possibly also allow Sonya to take some time off WWE, given the recent attempted kidnapping and the horrific death threats that have followed.
