Roman Reigns talks about bringing The Rock back to WWE ring

Roman Reigns is currently on one of his best runs on WWE SmackDown as the Tribal Chief. He also holds the WWE Universal Championship currently. He successfully defended it in the main event of Clash of Champions against his cousin Jey Uso.

The storyline has got the fans speculating a massive showdown between Roman Reigns and The Rock at WrestleMania 37 next year.

Speaking on Complex’s Load Management Podcast, the Big Dog revealed if that is a possibility at all, among other things.

Roman Reigns on a match with The Rock

Reigns believes if there is anybody who can convince The Rock to make a return, it is him. But that would require an excellent storytelling and proper build-up. Reigns would have to become the top heel in WWE, before The Rock shows up to take him down.

“I think I’m the guy. If there is anybody that he would feel comfortable with in the ring, and have the proper build up and can rise to that occasion, there’s no doubt I’m the guy. We will definitely have to crack a lot of eggs to get to that. That’s just good TV. Going forward and building a really dominant bad guy within myself and here comes the astronomical superstar, there has never been a guy on his level. You would have to build that villain to get to that point.” H/T: Wrestling News

Roman Reigns now has Paul Heyman by his side as well. All things point towards him having a considerably lengthy run with the Universal Championship as a heel.

If the performance of Reigns and Uso at Clash of Champions is anything to go by, fans can definitely hope for a return of The Rock sometime in this storyline.
