AEW has just set a new record for their company and all involved just made off in a huge way including Sting and Christian, with Sting’s in ring debut and Christian signing his contract. Sting’s next matchups have now been revealed.

All Elite Wrestling’s “Revolution” event last Sunday set a new pay-per-view record for the company, based on early estimates. The event seems to have brought in about 125,000 buys worldwide, across both digital and traditional platforms.

The event that will forever be historic exploding barbed wire deathmatch between Jon Moxley and AEW champion Kenny Omega and closed by a disappointing “time bomb” explosion, generated just over $5 million. Kenny Omega Reveals Who ‘Ruined’ AEW Revolution. The bulk of the revenue brought in for “Revolution” was from pay-per-view sales of the broadcast, but ticket and merchandise sales also contributed and were estimated in to the total figure.

After splitting revenues with various pay-per-view distributors, AEW will net more than $2 million in revenue making it a split of $3 million between everyone accounted for when they had hosted the pay-per-view event.

The pay-per-view likely costed the company about $1 million to create when all is said for matches such as the barbed wire match, the cinematic Sting match, and the pay involved for all talent and stage hands. AEW had about 1,150 paid attendees at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida for the pay-per-view as well. Which, may seem low, but is really good considering the pandemic and guidelines. 1/10th of Super Bowl attendance isn’t bad with the company still in its infant stages as well.
