Saraya(formerly Paige in WWE) recently shared a heartbreaking conversation with Sasha Banks following the injury. She has now revealed how ‘The Boss’ had reacted to the incident.
On December 26, 2017 at Madison Square Garden, Paige wrestled her final WWE match in a six-woman tag where she teamed with Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville to take on the team of Mickie James, Bayley, and Sasha Banks.
The former WWE Divas Champion had been struggling with neck issues over the past few years that had put a halt on her in-ring career. She was under a contract with WWE but she recently announced that she’d soon be ending her long run with WWE. She shocked the wrestling world when she announced that she’ll be leaving WWE in July. It was then revealed that WWE didn’t want to re-sign Paige to a new contract.
Saraya reveals how Sasha Banks reacted in the moment
While speaking to Chris Jericho on his Talk is Jericho podcast, Saraya revealed that after she took the bump, she noticed that Banks, Bayley, Mickie James, Mandy Rose, and Sonya Deville were crying:
“My neck just friggin snapped back like I was in a car crash. And then I was like paralyzed for like a couple of minutes, which is the most terrifying thing. I just remember laying there, and then I didn’t cry, but I knew instantly I was just like, ‘This is it like I’m done? Like, I’m toast, right?’ I look over and I see Sasha [Banks], Bayley and there’s Mickie James and everyone. They were just crying. I look at Mandy and Sonya, and they were crying.”
Saraya (formerly Paige in WWE) recently made a shocking debut at the recent AEW Dynamite Grand Slam. AEW Dynamite Grand Slam saw a Fatal Four-way match for the Interim AEW Women’s World Championship that featured the reigning champ Toni Storm, Serena Deeb, Athena, and Britt Baker. After Storm successfully retained her title, the former WWE star made her way down to the ring, much to the crowd’s shock. Her contract details have also been revealed. It was on the October 5th edition of AEW Dynamite, that Saraya got in a brawl with Britt Baker. It was later reported that Saraya was cleared to compete by AEW Dr. Sampson.
